She was hiding a secret no one could see yet.
Miriam is an ordinary young woman in Nazareth, caught up in the joyful preparations for her upcoming wedding with Joseph, the village's young carpenter. Then, in a single moment, her whole life turns upside down, and she's left carrying a secret that could cost her everything: her betrothal, her reputation, her family's honor, even her life.
I Am Miriam steps into the Biblical story of Mary and Joseph. From between the angel's visit and the manger in Bethlehem, one can only imagine what Mary had to go through. Real fear. Real doubt. A journey of an unexpected redemption, navigating the religious culture and the real danger under Roman occupation. And Joseph, whose own story may surprise you.
Written by an author raising her family in the Galilee today, walking the same hills where this story took place, I Am Miriam brings historical texture and startling humanity to the most familiar figure in the Christmas story.
This book would make for a meaningful gift this Christmas!
