Jake Caldwell, who is a private investigator and owns the "Caldwell Detective Agency" in Los Angeles, is hired by Mrs Murphy, to determine if her husband committed suicide, as stated by the LAPD, or was murdered. Jake Caldwell, his Chief Investigator and Jake take on this investigation which leads them into the world of gamblling in California.
