During the late 1930's, two families leave the dust bowl of Oklahoma to travel west to the golden land of California. Time follows these strong and brave families through discrimination and acceptance in the new land, and the love and jealousies of others. At the same time, migrant workers moved north from Mexico. This is a tip of the hat to John Steinbeck, although I do not profess to be in same class as he. We differ in that he observed this movement west in Grapes Of Wrath...I lived it.
