Notă biografică
As a child Hans Jenssen was obsessed with aeroplanes and loved drawing, spending much of his time sketching air battles between Spitfires and Me 109s. As he got older, he became fascinated by cutaway illustrations in publications like Eagle Comic and later the work of artists like Mike Badrocke, Frank Munger and others who exposed the inner workings of all kinds of machines (but mostly aircraft).
Hans went to art college to studied technical illustration, where not long after he began a long and successful relationship with publishers Dorling Kindersley. He worked on a series of books called “Look Inside Cross-Sections” and from 1997 spent over a decade co-illustrating the famous “Star Wars Incredible Cross-Sections” books and from that time on has spent much of his time in various science fiction universes. In his spare time, Hans is doing up the Victorian farmhouse he lives in, and is an enthusiastic glider pilot having gone solo in 2016 at his local gliding club. He lives in a small village in the beautiful county of Devon, UK, with his wife, son, dog, three cats and a corn snake.
