Juliana Price is observant. Or at least, she thinks she's observant. This is what has led her to journalism, to reporting, to "heightened observation." It isn't until she meets her match in enigmatic and successful businessman Elliot Bishop and subsequently becomes his shadow for an article for her newspaper, The Chicago Press and Standard, that she realizes how much she has to learn - not only about the human experience, but about her own experiences as well.
