After a three-week sojourn sailing the Hawaiian Islands, marine biologist Jack Ferrell and freelance recovery specialist Cherise Venetta decide it is time to return to reality. For Jack that means buying a boat to replace the one destroyed in Waikiki. For Cherise it means finding out why an old friend needs her help.
Together with his buddy Robert, Jack flies to Key West to purchase a yacht that's too good of a bargain to pass up. Twelve hundred miles north, Cherise learns that her friend's father disappeared while on a Caribbean cruise.
So begins a high-stakes charade that brings Jack and Cherise together in a deadly ruse to stop a brother and sister team of con artists from killing again. And this time, Jack's the bait.
