"Home (2025)" is Johnston's sequel to "Mental 92018-23)," and follows heroine Evelyn Marie Stuart Dufrense through a year marked by losing her teen daughter to madness, divorce and parental interference, as she tries to manage adversity and disappointments in order to find a way to understand herself, her marriage, the reappearance of her first fiance, and many changes and transitions. Eve loses herself, and finds herself, too, as she works her way through a difficult year in a mental hospital and many unlikely places, to emerge as the Badass Mama Author she has worked for years to become.
