Alain Durand-Lasserve is a research director at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in France, specializing in urban land management and policies in developing countries.Lauren Royston is a development planner, specializing in land and housing and integrated development planning. She is currently co-principle of Development Works, an urban development organization based in Johannesburg.
