A ruthless heir. A vicious enforcer. Two mafia families on the brink of war, and the bullet meant to undo them all. Killian Quinn, heir of Newport's Irish mafia, learned early in life that Quinns don't forgive, and they never forget. So when his best friend is murdered, Killian begins the hunt for answers and blood. After a lead ends in a shootout, he finds both in the ER nurse who treats him. A woman who happens to be the most ruthless enforcer in the one family that would dare oppose his: the Araxies.
Sian should have the intel Killian needs for his revenge, but when his usual intimidation tactics fail, and strange fondness makes him unable to torture her, Killian makes a snap decision. He will claim his enemy and he will make her love him. For information, of course-certainly not personal cravings.
With a gun and blackmail, Killian snatches Sian from the streets of Newport, vowing his heart won't impede his revenge.
Sian Juni doesn't exist, not anywhere that matters.
But after being kidnapped by her former patient-who is also her boss's sworn enemy-her anonymous life in the shadows is dismantled. Killian demands information Sian doesn't have, and counters every threat with tenderness she struggles to defend against. Sian has nothing to offer him-not information, nor her heart.
When their entanglement escalates, pulling the people she loves most into the path of danger, Sian must make a choice. Risk her life-and place in the organization-to help Killian and prove the Araxies' innocence. Or let the seemingly inevitable war between their families resume, take up arms, and defend her people at the sacrifice of her heart.
