Notă biografică
Jack Bartley lived in Hawaii for five years while serving in the U.S. Navy. After his service, he became an ecology professor at the University of Delaware, where he created a program to bring students back to the islands to study reef systems and Hawaiian culture during the university's winter session. The program ran for fifteen years, during which time he fell in love with the town of Hilo. Knowing how much his teen-aged sons liked to read, he began walking around town, taking notes, and envisioning the windward side of The Big Island as it might exist two hundred years in the future. The result was Hilo Dome. Jack is now retired from the university and devotes his time to writing and playing music. He lives with his wife, Susan, their dog Jesse, and their cat Clementine in Ocean View, Delaware.
