Katerina Poladjan nació en Moscú, creció entre Roma y Viena y reside en Alemania. Escribe novela, teatro y ensayo. Ha sido nominada al Premio Alfred Döblin y al Premio de Literatura de la Unión Europea, y participó en el Festival de Literatura Alemana de Klagenfurt en 2015. Por Hier sind Löwen (Aquí hay leones), recibió becas del Fondo Alemán de Literatura, el Senado de Berlín y la Academia Cultural Tarabya de Estambul. En 2025, Katerina Poladjan fue galardonada con el 'Gran Premio del Fondo de Literatura Alemana'.

She has been nominated for the Alfred Döblin Prize and the European Union Prize for Literature, and participated in the German Literature Festival in Klagenfurt in 2015.
