Mango fly larvae, malaria, hurricanes, gun-wielding soldiers, and cow stampedes were just a few of the erratic events that transpired as the Dobbe family lived in four different countries within ten years-Guam, Singapore, Ghana, and Mexico. Armed with their teaching degrees and two toddlers in tow, they hit the ground, or the tarmacs, running. While schlepping luggage and strollers, fending off temper tantrums, and dodging unwonted tropical diseases, they spent those venturesome years captivated by the awe-inspiring sites, unfamiliar cultures, and age-old traditions. Together, the Dobbes happily endured the good times and the bad while living their global lives to the fullest. After a decade's worth of memorable travel experiences, the Dobbe family returned home to the United States. And as cautioned, they promptly fell into reverse culture shock-all part of the adventure.
