Standardization is a key to identify the standard drug from its substitute and/or adulterants, which is not dependant on any single character but a series of markers. The use of plants as medicines antedates history. Herbal medicine represents probably the first, and certainly the oldest system of human health care. It is being globally recognized that medicinal plants play a significant role in providing health benefits to human beings. The increase in the demand for plant-based medicines and their eventual commercialization has brought about a major shift in their status from providing strictly individually tailored hand picked HERBAL Products. The book deals with herbals as a source of antibiotics. It is time to validate the herbals on their bio-potential measures.
