In scripture, repetition is a spotlight. When the same number keeps appearing, it's often pointing to something deeper. In the Book of Mormon Amulek is thrown in prison for three days, beaten three times, deprived of three necessities, and rejected by three different groups of people. Surely this repetition of the same number in just a few short verses is not a coincidence.
Heaven Counts connects the ancient and modern world through deep analysis of scripture. By piecing together Eastern and Western cultures, symbolic writing, and spiritual teachings Heaven Counts allows readers to view the Book of Mormon from a new perspective. With deep respect for Jewish culture and religious text, Bruno Kahne invites readers to cleave unto the Lord and become fluent in the parabolic language of heaven.
