Hanging Rock

Bill Rabbitt has spent his adult life in public service, first as a paramedic and later in a wide range of law-enforcement roles before becoming chief of police in a small city in upstate New York. In the aftermath of 9/11, he responded to Ground Zero, an experience that shaped his understanding of trauma, service, and resilience. He brings that lived experience to his crime fiction, writing stories marked by grit, emotional realism, and an earned dark sense of humor. A recovering optimist, he is usually woodworking with his wife in their workshop or planning their next trip to Italy when he is away from the job. They live in upstate New York with their five children.
