Turning the pain in ones heart into love is more of a challenge than many people will know. Some people do know, maybe you do. Mylo certainly does. Through a traumatic childhood into adulthood, a spiral of emotions as a journey through hopelessness leads to another, Mylo battled with himself, his demons and the demons of others. Happiness lived where a monster did, but his love for his Nan was pure and he always believed hers was too. Mylo's only sanctuary seemed to lie in her presence but now he isn't quite sure after all. From a young Mother spiritually broken herself, Mylo fights battles with his Mom's boyfriend and his Grandad to survive to become an adult, but then Mylo needed to find himself and help his Mom find herself too. Mylo has never truly felt like he was understood, maybe you'll understand? Maybe nobody ever will. Mylo said to Katie, "Your nose is right above your mouth, but if you didn't brush your teeth for 3 days everybody would see that and smell your bad breath, but your nose wouldn't. I can look at people and see what is wrong with them but it takes a lot of self-observation to see what is wrong with yourself. I am still learning. It is important for you to let me know when you see things in me that look wrong, because I might not know. Be true and honest in what you say to me. I am here and though I made it through the pain which took a lot of strength but I can weaken quickly. I am a whole, yet I am broken.
