Greetings from Your Mind: A Comedian's Guide to Psychedelics

Autor Brendan Fitzgibbons
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 25 feb 2027
A witty, accessible, and helpful companion for anyone on the journey of self-exploration.

Welcome to the psychedelic revolution—where your lawyer microdoses, your grandma hosts mushroom tea parties, and your barista might be a part-time shaman.

In Greetings from Your Mind, writer and comic Brendan Fitzgibbons takes readers on a wildly entertaining, honest, and practical journey through the weird and booming world of psychedelics. With sharp wit, grounded wisdom, and zero tolerance for woo-woo cringe, Fitzgibbons offers an everyperson’s guide to navigating the mind-expanding universe of psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine, 5-MeO-DMT, and ayahuasca. He unpacks the science and shares laugh-out-loud experiences, from doing too many mushrooms on his 40th birthday and getting ambushed by Stormtroopers at Disneyland to drinking ayahuasca at a weeklong luxury retreat in Costa Rica, inventing a lifestyle brand on LSD in California wine country, feeling like he died on 5-MeO-DMT in Los Angeles, raving on MDMA in New York City, completing thirteen at-home ketamine sessions, and losing his mind on mushrooms at the Sphere. And through it all, he answers the big question: Can psychedelics really change my life?

Whether you’re psychedelic-curious, looking to deepen your self-awareness, or just want to understand what the hell your cousin means when he says he’s “journeying with intention,” this book has your back. Greetings from Your Mind is your hilarious, heartfelt, and genuinely helpful travel companion for the most important trip of all—the one back to yourself.

Recenzii

Praise for Greetings from Your Mind:

"Brendan was my intern. Had I known he was doing drugs the whole time, I would have fired him. Jokes aside, what I didn't know was that he'd turn his psychedelic adventures into a hilarious, wildly entertaining exploration of the human mind. Greetings from Your Mind is one hell of a trip."—Sean Woods, co-editor-in-chief, Rolling Stone

“We spend so much of our lives trying to fix ourselves that we forget to ask who taught us we were broken. Brendan makes you laugh at the absurdity of that chase, then brings you back to the person you’ve been so hard on. Beneath the wild trips and the ridiculous stories is something deeply human: learning to love yourself without making that love another thing you have to earn.”—Sean Clayton, founder of Miracle Academy

“It’s about time Brendan wrote a book. Merging comedy and transformation is the most important thing a person can do. It’s more important than having a baby or raising a child. It’s also more important than eating omelettes, especially if the eggs aren’t organic. That’s why Brendan is a perfect person.”—Kyle Cease,New York Times bestselling author of I Hope I Screw This Up and The Illusion of Money

"Brendan and I started together at open mics in Brooklyn. I always knew he was a great writer. I never knew it was just because he was tripping balls the entire time."—Morgan Jay, comedian and musician with sold-out tours worldwide

"I met Brendan on a podcast, and it was instant friendship over shared passions and the ability to laugh at ourselves. Humor is a key ingredient of neuroplasticity and Brendan has plenty of that! Most podcast hosts try to sell you random stuff from sponsors. Brendan is handing you the keys to unlocking your greatest potential."—Lisa Wimberger, founder of Neurosculpting
