Gottfried Benn (1886– 1956) is one of the greatest German poets of the 20th century as well as one of the most important poets of expressionism– the epoch that formed the beginning ofthe literary modern epoch throughthe decisive denial of all traditional forms and subjects. With more than 2500 entries, this first personal bibliography on Gottfried Benn in over 50 years, and thus the only one to include publications after his death in 1956, comprises the international secondary literature on Gottfried Benn from 1957 to 2003.
