Prize-winner: The title poem of Good Want won the Malahat Review Long Poem Prize in 2023. Martinello received the 2018 Deena Davidson Friedman Prize for Poetry during her time at the IOWA Writers¿ Workshop, and was a finalist for the 2017 RBC Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers.
Follow-up to a Dazzling Debut: All Day I Dream About Sirens, poems about mermaids (including the Starbucks one) and capitalism, won Martinello a lot of fans who are eagerly awaiting her sophomore book.
