The term, "good sick," refers to the nausea a person experiences along with the euphoric high after injecting heroin. Baumgarten's images were captured predominately in his own neighborhood of Kensington, which, according to the artist "happens to be the nexus for those in and around Philadelphia seeking heroin, and all that it entails." Born and raised in Philadelphia, Baumgarten's images reflect his complicated relationship to his hometown and the drug epidemic overtaking it.
