Learning to stand on his own two feet, he deals with the problems life throws at him: first during summer in Blackpool, then winter in Manchester and on through heady days on the island of Jersey.

Eventually settling in London he starts to pursue his ambition to become a popular entertainer. This leads to a variety of life experiences as he crosses paths with some talented and colourful people in the TV and film industry.
