Garlic and Boots is the tale of two ten year old friends Edible, and her friend Mug, and their journey into the forest. Not an ordinary forest, but a forest where it is rumoured that strange creatures and witches live. And on their journey through the forest, true to the rumour, they do indeed encounter two unpleasant creatures, the witch kids, Coo and Woo, who turn Edible and Mug into donkeys and then three legged creatures. But the children are smart, and through some clever trickery they manage to outwit the witch kids, and escape from this strange forest.
