Bootsy Collins is a Cincinnati born bassist, singer, producer and songwriter. He rose to prominence with James Brown, helped define the One in Parliament-Funkadelic, and led his own band, Bootsy's Rubber Band. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 along with 15 members of Parliament/Funkadelic. Five decades in, he is still on the One.
