A chance encounter brings two unlikely souls together in the Canadian Capital. Pious, proud Haitian-Canadian Catholic student Omar Durand rescues cynical and embittered but lovely Chechen Muslim newcomer Albika "Abby" Mitayev from an unruly trucker at Harvey's. After running into each other at Carleton University, the two become virtually inseparable. The only snags ? Just their respective families, and the fact that Omar's a good Christian lad and Albika is a devout Muslim woman. No trouble at all, eh ?
