There's a crisis in this country, and it's a crisis that's being ignored by the media. It's a catastrophe so big in magnitude it has spread into our culture like a pandemic. Simple in theory but devastating in its consequences, it has a great many Americans fearful and defenseless. Not only are we experiencing anxiety and sometimes anger over this issue, but it is growing worse and adversely impacts the future of our children and grandchildren. It is a cancer creeping into every nook and cranny of our culture. It has been stealthy and subtle in its evolution. We woke up one day and it was at our front door. Without attention and going unchecked, it has the potential to destroy everything we hold dear. It is the Demise of Accountability.
