Audrey McAllen developed the activities outlined in her Extra Lesson work to assist students struggling with writing, reading and arithmetic. These activities address the evolutionary aspects of the human being and the earth during earlier developmental stages which, according to Rudolf Steiner, are mirrored in the first seven years of the child''s development.

For decades Joep Eikenboom has studied the connection between the ''Extra Lesson'' work and current neuroscience knowledge. In this valuable resource, Eikenboom shares the insights he has gained.

This book provides an invaluable resource for Steiner-Waldorf teachers, parents, medical doctors and remedial specialists looking to help children with learning difficulties.
