Once the sky, hardened and sturdy in exactly the way an atmosphere shouldn't ever be, well, once it plummeted down, crashing down on top of everyone. The world as we knew it quickly fell apart. Millions died, as each shard of sky fell. Billions more suffered in its wake. We never knew how or why the sky hardened and tumbled down; all we knew was that we could be next.
