Many of the tales within this book touch on love and loss, and tangled relationships which sometimes plumb the depths of human emotions. If you are looking for a good cry, there are many stories here that will do the trick. Elena's characters will resonate with her readers, and there wouldn't be many who couldn't say, at one point, Yes, I know just how these people feel. Been there, done that. These are very human people who are struggling to work their way through all-too-real problems of the heart. For lovers of things slightly more ethereal, there is also a good scattering of stories which take a supernatural turn, stories that make you give a shiver, a little start, and a surprised, "Oh " And then there are the unashamed tearjerkers, the stories with a fairytale, other-worldly quality that transport the reader away from the bustle of 21st century living...
