Grieving widower Grant Williams is in over his head when he takes up a Pennine sheep farm willed to him by his uncle. He abandons the fragments of his ruined life on the coast for the wilds of the Northumbrian hills. The local community, led by their fearsome matriarch, make it clear they don't want him there, and a shadowy force haunts the isolated farm. When two children land on his doorstep, Grant is dragged into long-hidden family secrets and an all consuming, ancient hunger that threatens his life and the lives of his new-found family. Flock for a Dead God is a cosmic folk horror, but at its heart it's a story about families lost and found.
