This is the story of a 17 year old, mountain boy who comes home to discover a horrific murder, an event that turn his life upside down. Sage, during this escape from what he has just witnessed, is befriended by a young boy name Reagan who is woods-wise beyond his years. Homeless, Sage forms a pact with Reagan and together they make their way to a secret camp deep in the West Virgina mountains, which is occupied by war torn veterans. During their travels, Sage accidentally discovers his new friend is not who he claims to be and encounters a killer which leads to a surprising link to his past, a link that changes his life forever.
