High school Junior Doug Tully feels isolated and bullied. Classmates pick on him, the faculty don't understand him and his own parents are indifferent and abusive. The only one who understands him is an anonymous friend named Harper, who talks to Doug online. Harper introduces to Doug to Ronnie Logan, a Senior at the same school with the same problems. Harper and Ronnie have a plan, a plan for revenge on the school they both despise. Although Doug is reluctant to join, he finds himself sucked into Harper's master plan, which may not be all that it appears to be.
