First Frost

Autor Sarah Addison Allen
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 11 feb 2016

A magical new novel from the New York Times bestselling author, featuring characters from her beloved novel Garden Spells.

As temperatures drop and leaves begin to fall from the trees in Bascom, North Carolina, the Waverley women grow restless. They give their hearts away too easily, are distracted by silver-eyed strangers, and make curious mistakes.

When an unexpected visitor shows up and challenges the very heart of their family, it becomes even more difficult to remain level-headed.

Everything should improve after the frost frost of the season. Then, their mischievous apple tree will blossom at last, and the magic that swirls around it can find a proper home. But as sisters Claire and Sydney Waverley, and Sydney's fifteen-year-old daughter Bay, are forced to make choices they have never confronted before, can they hold their family together until that extraordinary event?

This year, first frost has a lot in store . . .

Notă biografică

Sarah Addison Allen is the product of a newspaper man and a former debutante who pierced her nose and dyed her hair red at the age of fifty. Taught the fine art of table place settings at an early age, she has never quite shaken off her inherited urge to rebel. She lives in the American South, where her novels are set.
