Fire Dragon's Angel

Autor Barbara Blythe
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 3 dec 2010
Can a hero ever live up to his reputation? For seven years, Ceressa Quarles has secretly admired Latimer Kirkleigh. Latimer has spent those same seven years disappointing everyone he loves. When they reunite, she finds him jaded, arrogant...and still irresistible. He finds her disconcerting, headstrong...and beautiful. As responsibility and tragedy intertwine, Ceressa and Latimer are set upon a course that neither is prepared to travel. Forced to flee her English home, Ceressa accepts a marriage proposal from Latimer and finds herself living in a savage, colonial wilderness embroiled in rebellion. With their lives at risk and any chance at love hidden deep within their precarious marriage of convenience, Ceressa and Latimer battle for the stability of a new world and peace within their own hearts.

Notă biografică

Barbara's earliest writing efforts were geared to mainstream historical romance. Then the need to honor God and share her Christian faith redirected her writing. A lover of history, she's created faith-driven stories, entwining historical events with her characters who discover love in spite of complications and danger. First bitten by the writing bug in sixth grade, Barbara was further encouraged in middle and high school. Upon graduation from Old Dominion University, she became a banker then an administrative assistant with a local school system. Barbara's husband passed away unexpectedly, and she had to refocus her priorities-unfinished manuscripts ended up in the file cabinet. In 2023, not long after retiring, she was contacted by a member of the local ACFW group. It was time to pull out the unfinished manuscripts and bring to life the historical stories she finds so fascinating. Her published novels are Fire Dragon's Angel, Virginia, 1676, Ransom for Many, North Carolina, 1718, and Dance of Life, mid-19th century Paris
