Finite Element Modeling Techniques for Practitioners
Autor Christopher Young-Bee Tuanen Limba Engleză Hardback – 25 mar 2027
This comprehensive guide offers hands-on techniques for 3D mesh generation, nonlinear solution schemes, and graphical presentation of analysis results. Using ANSYS, the gold-standard FEA software, readers will master finite element modeling, applying loads and boundary constraints, and presenting results in visually compelling formats. This resource equips readers to confidently tackle complex design scenarios and validate results against theoretical or experimental data. ANSYS database files, exercises and solutions, and step-by-step video tutorials can be found at www.routledge.com/ 9781041377269
Designed for professional engineers, researchers, and advanced students, this is an invaluable resource for those in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat conduction, and beyond. Whether you're a mechanical engineer, structural analyst, or academic researcher, Finite Element Modeling Techniques for Practitioners bridges the gap between theory and practice, enhancing your problem-solving skills and advancing your career.

Notă biografică
Christopher Tuan is Professor Emeritus of Structural Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), USA. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in structural engineering, as well as an M.S. in engineering mechanics, all from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With more than 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, Dr. Tuan brings extensive academic and industry experience to his work. Prior to joining UNL in 1996, he spent seven years as a senior engineer in the U.S. defense industry. Dr. Tuan’s areas of expertise include finite element modeling, steel design, and structural design for blast resistance. He is internationally recognized for his pioneering research in electrically conductive concrete, a technology that has been successfully implemented in numerous large-scale construction projects worldwide. He holds 13 U.S. patents and three international patents and his contributions to the field have earned him Fellowship in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), as well as membership in the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).
