Fibromyalgia is a very common disorder, with a prevalence of 24% of the population, and about 8590% of the patients are women. It is defined as a painful syndrome of non-articular origin characterized by fatigue, widespread musculoskeletal pain, tiredness, and sleep disturbances without any other objective signs or abnormality on examination. This book presents current research from across the globe in the study of fibromyalgia, including sexual dysfunction, co-morbidities, psychiatric disorders, oral cavity problems, pharmacological management, focus on antidepressants, and complementary medications.
