Seeking single man to date my surly and disagreeable daughter.
Struggling florist and black sheep Holly Larsen would do anything to make ends meet at her beloved flower shop, even feed her precious ley energy to an increasingly demanding carnivorous plant. And she still has to tend bar to make ends meet. Maybe that's why when the man of her dreams comes along, he seems too good to be true.
And maybe he is. Leo Shaw is a nomadic fire caster similarly down on his luck, and when he caves to financial pressure to keep his van rolling and his fox familiar safe and healthy, the most expedient solution is a questionable ad on an online job board.
The job is simple: go on a few dates with the daughter, show her a good time, just don't let her find out about the whole "paid date" thing. There's just one problem... the more time he spends with her, the less like a job it feels.
As Holly's walls crumble, something more precious than money blooms between them. But can it weather the storm of deception and betrayal?
