In the hidden garden, an ancient volcano rumbled awake. Most of the cavern team had already left to help others escape, but the peacocks stayed behind. They had a special task-this was their last chance to receive magical powers from the garden spirits. Even though they were sad, Mr. White was trapped in a collapsing tunnel; the ancient, mystical abilities had to be passed on to the worthiest young peacocks. A sudden burst of energy sent all the peacocks tumbling! The three youngest, dizzy and confused, couldn't help but giggle as they got their balance back. Galihand gently led little Vail and Deveron back to the flock, who were already on their long journey, leaving behind their beloved home. Soon, Vail and Deveron were safely back with the others, worn out from their adventure. Snuggling among the baby peachicks in Gorg's wagon, they quickly fell asleep. Meanwhile, Galihand rushed to the sacred gardens just in time to hear Golumm's warning.
"Don't go through the tunnels by the big waterfall," Golumm cautioned. "Lava is filling them up."
>The journey ahead would be challenging. Falling rocks made the path dangerous, and it would take a whole day to reach Featherwood Forest. But there was no other choice. The peacocks thanked Golumm and all who had helped them. Tealian shared an extra word of gratitude. "We will send word to those dwellers protecting our flock as soon as we find a safe way forward," Tealian promised. As Tealian and Golumm shared a firm embrace, the same thought echoed in everyone's hearts: They must keep going. Their journey for safety has just begun.
