Recenzii
?Mosley?s downbeat, laconic style, his desert-dry wit and his congested plotting remain highly satisfying... for sheer exquisite writing, he?s better than ever. Fear Itself is the second Fearless Jones novel, and it confirms Mosely as one of America?s most gifted writers, of any genre? The Times ?The narrative?s dramatic reversals of fortune recall the boisterous 18th-century fiction of Defoe and Fielding? Sunday Times ?Long may the maestro continue to challenge and entertain? Sleazenation ?Mosley keeps the atmosphere mean as an unknown villain goes around causing damage and he has perfected the weary tang of old-time noir? Guardian ?The mystery is intriguing, but it?s the interplay between the vividly drawn characters that makes this series so enjoyable? Sunday Telegraph ?This is a novel about the experience of being black in America, and therein lies its heart and its brilliance? John Harvey, Independent ?The pace is brisk, the dialogue razor-sharp, the humour droll. Mosley at his best? Good Book Guide ?Walter Mosley packs his dialogue tight like a fist, but the economy of language is beautifully lifted by the blues cadences of the characters? dialect? Daily Telegraph ?Most writers would cut off their thumbs to have a bankable hero in one thriving series. Mosley has three? Playboy ?Mosley is a master of economic description, each phrase perfectly crafted to pack a weighty punch. His fast-paced narrative, sharp dialogue and dry humour make this a compelling read?
