In 1971, Paul Hornung lost his Superbowl ring in a poker game in the section of the suburbs of New Orleans called Fat City. Three generations fight and struggle over its possession, paying the price for their greed. Based on Richard Wagner's Ring og Power cycle and in the "roman noir" tradition of Jim Thompson and David Goodis, Fat City Blues is a hard boiled tale of avarice, lust and good people trying to do the right thing in a world gone bad.
