Notă biografică

Mary Macgregor was born and brought up in Glasgow. After reading economics at Cambridge and obtaining a PhD from Berkeley, California, she worked for several years as an economist. Then she spent two years travelling around the world with her young family, enabling her to enlarge her already vast collection of wools and fabrics. Upon returning to Europe, she decided to direct her energies towards her long-standing passion for the creative arts. Her interest in Fair Isle patterns grew naturally from a desire to understand how to knit with more than one colour at once. She currently shares her time between south-west France and Shetland.
