Notă biografică
Esther Horvath begleitet als Fotografin die Forschungsarbeiten des Alfred-Wegener-Instituts. Für eine Aufnahme der Eisbären im Forschungscamp erhielt sie den World Press Photo Award 2020 zum Thema Umwelt. Horvath studierte am International Center of Photography in New York, wurde zweimal ausgezeichnet als »Photo Artist of the International Association of Photographic Arts« und gewann 2013 das George and Joyce Moss Scholarship für Dokumentarfotografie. Bisher sind ihre Fotografien in National Geographic, Audubon Magazine, Stern, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post und TIME erschienen.
