Every Version of Her is for the woman who has been through something. Or several somethings. The woman who kept going when everything in her wanted to stop. Who loved people who could not love her back the way she deserved. Who said she was fine so many times she almost believed it. Who has been carrying her story for a long time without quite knowing how to put it down.
This book will not tell you how to fix yourself. It is not that kind of book. It is the kind you feel from the inside, in the quiet moment when a sentence lands somewhere unexpected, in the catch of recognition when you see something you have never seen named before.
Written in an intimate second person voice that speaks directly to the woman reading it, Every Version of Her moves through the experiences that shape us and silence us and cost us more than we ever admitted. Losing your voice in childhood. Loving the wrong people. Carrying shame you were never meant to carry. Grieving the life that did not go to plan. Learning what you are actually made of. Becoming, slowly and without anyone clapping, the woman you were always meant to be.
This is a book for the woman who has wanted to delete certain versions of herself and who is learning, slowly and with more compassion than she once thought possible, that every single one of those versions was necessary. That the woman who begged for love and the woman who kept the peace and the woman who put everyone else first were all, in their own way, keeping her alive until she could become this.
You are not broken. You never were. You are a woman still in the middle of her story and this book is simply here to sit with you in that.
You were never as alone in it as you thought.
