The author describes the interrelated aspects of definitions, theories, concepts, principles, and values that reflect our practice. She also provides practical applications of ethical dilemmas and models for resolution, along with cultural awareness and potential legal conflicts. Each analysis is supplemented with challenging questions and an illustrative case study.
This book is a perfect professional development handbook for both faculty and primary-role academic advisors. Although the chapters appear to be sequential, the order can be selected to fit the overall needs of the specific academic advising program.
