Notă biografică
Sarah West is Centre Director for SEI York and an experienced mixed-methods researcher, using a citizen science approach to address a range of environmental topics. Since 2008, Sarah has designed, run, evaluated and undertaken research on citizen science projects. Initially, this was on the OPAL project which aimed to engage people from all backgrounds in science and nature through environmental surveys.
Rachel Pateman is a mixed methods researcher interested in citizen science and the health and well-being benefits of urban green spaces. In 2012 she completed a PhD in the Biology Department at the University of York, which examined how butterfly species are changing the types of host plant and habitat they are using in response to climate change.
Dr Rhys Archer is a Research Fellow at SEI York and the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination and is coordinator for the Citizen Science Research group. She works on the SAMHE project which involves co-designing a webapp with schools to monitor classroom air quality, as well as the Youth LIVES project which co-produces mental health research with young people.
Alison Dyke came to work with SEI in 2011 following over ten years as an independent research and policy consultant working in the fields of community woodlands and wild harvests. Alison is a political ecologist working on nature-society relations and works across a broad range of environmental subject areas.
Luke Gooding is a Research Associate working on the Ecological Citizens project, and is passionate about promoting equitable futures for communities of all types: communities with healthy places to live, work, and take leisure.
