Ethan Frome Sled

Sebastian Dureaux-Russell's 1990 submission for The James White Review read, "I enjoy poetry, classical films, the images of Stieglitz, and metaphysics ..." Though rejected, he saw publication in Seizure and began poetry reading in New York's Greenwich Village. This led the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and International Center of Photography alumnus to study craft under award-winning poet Marie Ponsot. His 9/11 picture saw inclusion in 2001's "Here is New York: A Democracy of Photographs," winner of the Cornell Capa Award, now housed inside the New York Historical's permanent collection. In 2018, Dureaux-Russell premiered his solo exhibition, Gestalt, in San Luis Obispo, and 2023 witnessed the debut of his multi award-winning Historical Fiction novel, Burning with a Blue Flame. He has penned for: The New York Times, Where Magazine, In New York, City Guide, Travel Weekly, Book Banter Magazine, Like a Blot from the Blue, and Blot's 2026 international collections: Blotters/Jotters #3 and These Poems Kill Fascists. Ethan Frome Sled is his first book of poetry.
