The Essays comprise "neophyte papers, "familiarizing papers," and "the thesis paper." Here called a Triologue, the book is devoted to essays published specifically for "Fantastic Travelogue: Mark Twain and CS Lewis Talk Things over in The Hereafter," this fiction being the raison d'etre for the thesis paper. One of these essays was published in Extrapolation, Spring 2007, a second in Mythprint, bulletin 341 of the Mythopoeic Society.
