The first volume of this book series deals with stereostatics. Starting with the fundamentals and Newton's axioms, statics is developed step by step. A special emphasis is placed on solving examples using computer-aided methods such as Matlab or SolidWorks FEM, which clearly distinguishes this book from other literature on technical mechanics. This approach also provides insights into solving examples in industrial applications at the workplace. As Henry Ford once said, "There are more people who surrender than those who fail." This book aims to help transform those who surrender into motivated students and to show that mechanics is more than just the sum of all forces that balance each other.
