Emotional Breakthrough was created through the Inksp re poetry group to bring awareness to Sickle Cell Anemia. It was Inspired by a young woman by the name of Mynika Winters. This young woman has fought with the disease her whole life and yet she is still determined to accomplish her goals of getting a career in the field of law. This book was written by a group of people who had followed Mynika's story and followed her progress in and out of the hospital. Some of the poets have watched the effects of Sickle Cell Anemia and the toll it has taken on a loved one. These people from different ages; cities and places in life have come together to help bring hope of one day finding a cure and helping other people to understand a little more about what people with Sickle Cell Anemia suffer with. The poetry in this book tells stories of emotional adventures in the poets lives. Like a feather floating in the water we are all riding the currents of life waiting to see where we end up.
