Ages 9 to 12 years. Fire fighters, police officers, paramedics, doctors, and nurses are just a few of the community workers that help people in emergencies. Children will be amazed by these brave individuals -- many of whom risk their lives daily to save the lives of others. Children will learn about: military services; the Red Cross; the coast guard; equipment used by emergency workers; and how to be prepared in an emergency.
