The four regions of Valora exist in a constant state of conflict and tension. With the nationwide stalemate on the verge of ending, war is imminent. While most teens are concerned with graduation and college applications, Kirabo Lawless has the mandatory burden of joining his region's Special OPS Task Force on his eighteenth birthday-all because of a condition he was born with. He soon discovers that his removal from home is only the beginning. After meeting others like him, he is thrust into a dangerous journey that tests his strength, integrity and will to survive. Along the way, he has to decide who he can trust, and how to protect his family, all while fighting for his life.
